Holi Festival - Bahawalpur

The Religious and Community Leaders’ Network with the support of SSDO arranged the “Holi Festival “on March 07, 2023, at the Central Temple, Fareed Gate-Bahawalpur. The event was aimed at celebrating the special day of the Hindu to promote social diversity, interfaith harmony, and social cohesion in local communities. On the occasion, members of the Muslim and Christian communities presented cake and sweets to Hindu religious leaders as a goodwill gesture. Muslims, Christian, and Hindu leaders addressed at the event. They shared that Holi is the epitome of love and peace. The festival of color brings people from different castes, colors, creeds, and religions under one roof to celebrate it. We as a human should look for similarities between each other rather than differences. They emphasized that we should teach our kids tolerance, and respect for religious differences. In this way, we can make Pakistan a peaceful and livable country. The event was attended by 65 people from different walks of life.
