Two-day National Dialogue on Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight, Institutional Capacity, and Stakeholder Coordination on the Countering Terrorism Framework
The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), with the support of the British High Commission, organized a two-day National Dialogue on Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight, Institutional Capacity, and Stakeholder Coordination on the Countering Terrorism Framework in Islamabad on February 12–13, 2026. The dialogue brought together parliamentarians, officials from government line departments, representatives of law enforcement agencies, the prosecution department, financial regulatory bodies, and technical experts. During the event, participants deliberated on the existing Counter Terrorism (CT), Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) frameworks and proposed a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening institutional coordination, policy implementation, and legislative oversight.
