Strengthening National Narratives for a Peaceful Pakistan 🇵🇰 As part of the Capacity Building Workshop for Parliamentarians of Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh, organized by SSDO with support of British High Commission, SSDO facilitated an exposure visit and interactive engagement at the Islamic Research Institute (IRI), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) to discuss the Paigham-e-Pakistan Narrative. The participants were hosted by the President of IIUI and the Director General of IRI, who briefed parliamentarians on the Paigham-e-Pakistan initiative and IRI’s efforts to promote social cohesion, tolerance, constitutional values, and resilience against terrorism and violent extremism. The engagement provided parliamentarians with an opportunity to better understand the role of Pakistan’s national narrative in complementing security measures, preventing violent extremism, and fostering an inclusive, peaceful society where all citizens—irrespective of their religious identities—can live with dignity, harmony, and equal respect.
