On 30 July, SSDO was proud to co-host the Joint Commemoration of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, organized by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in collaboration with UNODC, IOM, UNHCR, ICMPD, IRARA, and SSDO at the Mövenpick Hotel, Islamabad. Aligned with this year's global theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam," the event highlighted the growing threat of trafficking for forced criminality, where victims are deceived, recruited, and coerced into operating online scam centres and other criminal activities by organized trafficking networks. The discussions emphasized the importance of stronger inter-agency coordination, survivor-centred responses, evidence-based policymaking, and sustained partnerships to identify victims, dismantle trafficking networks, and protect vulnerable communities.
