SSDO launched research report: Mapping Gender-Based Violence: District Level Analysis of Rape, Kidnapping and Honor Killings

SSDO launched its research report "Mapping Gender-Based Violence: District Level Analysis of Rape, Kidnapping and Honor Killings" at the National Press Club, Islamabad. The report presented data on the number of cases of rape, kidnapping and honor killing reported to the police at the provincial and district levels, to identify hotspot regions with the highest prevalence of GBV. After a presentation on the report's findings, a panel discussion followed, featuring policymakers, gender experts and senior journalists on the legislative frameworks on GBV, barriers and stigmas towards reporting to the police, and ethical reporting of GBV.
